The Village Art Walk is growing

Claremont Laemmle 5 Theater has joined the Claremont Village Art Walk! Held on the first Saturday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m., the Art Walk serves as the opening reception for art exhibitions held at a variety of Village galleries and businesses. Music, wine and hor d'oeuvres are provided. As guests mingle, artists are on hand to give insight into their pieces. Exhibitions typically stay up for the entire month at each location and artwork is available for purchase.
The Laemmle will begin on March 4, 2023 with “Abstraction—Paintings” by Claremonter Andrew Bentson. On April 1, mixed-media artist Stacey Jordan will offer her show, “Embracing Ghosts.” Carrie Knoll will present photography on May 5 with a show titled, “Commonplace Beauty.” On June 3, John Kosta will show a collection of paintings from his “L.A. River Series.”
Brian Ofstedahl, owner of the Village women’s clothing boutique Amelie, will lend a group of vintage and highly collectible “Authentic Movie Posters” on July 1.
“Totems” a series of mixed media wall sculptures by Devin Lee Johnson will be on display beginning August 5. Tandy Robinson and Bill Breer will host a joint show of ceramics opening September 2. A second joint ceramics exhibition, “Dive Into the Sea,” this time by artists Nana Ramirez and Ju Chen opens October 7. Painter Carly Lake will offer a series of watercolors opening November 4. And closing out the year is longtime Claremonter Janell Lewis, who will showcase “Happy Holidays,” a grouping of ceramic sculpture, which opens December 2.
